I will be traveling from Santa Monica, CA to Jacksonville, FL and Phoenix will be my first stop. What are some of the best and or funky free or inexpensive things to see or do in the Phoenix, AZ area? I'll be following hwy 10 so anything along the way that I should see I would love to hear about.
Also how cold does it get in January? I'll be there Jan 1st?

Fri, November 9, 2007 - 3:01 PMI swear I typed more than that! Okay, so nights will be a bit colder, but you should be fine with long pants, long sleeves, sweater/jacket and scarf/sweather. I wear tons more, but I'm addicted to heat.
